Do you live in the Phoenix metro area? Are you traveling through Arizona in the near future? Do you like getting off the beaten path? If the answer is "yes," or even "maybe," then you should take a detour to Watson Lake. This beautiful reservoir is a haven of water in the desert, just a few minutes outside of Prescott, AZ. There are many user-created trails all around the lake shore that make for a great day hike experience. Also, as you can see, there endless bouldering opportunities. Rock on.
Access: Take highway 89 North out of Prescott. After 5 miles, turn left onto Watson Lake Rd.
Bonus Points: Brave the still waters and swim out to a rock island for some fantastic rock jumping!
