Two is better than one

I got to summit Humphries Peak for the second time since I've been living in Flagstaff. We started at the trail head just before 4:00 p.m., reaching the saddle of the San Franciscan Range at 6:40 p.m. Just in time for sunset:

We reached the summit of the highest peak in Arizona (12,600ft) at 7:30pm and enjoyed moon-lit views of flagstaff, the south rim Grand Canyon village, and oak creek canyon.

If you want to check out the humphreys sunset hike, be sure to bring headlamps for the hike back down in the dark, extra batteries, and a wind-proof jacket. Wind velocities were over 30mph at the summit.
