Kendrick Peak, AZ

Kendrick summit stands at 10,400 and offers epic views of northern Arizona, the San Francisco peaks and the north rim of the Grand Canyon.

Hike up through ponderosa and aspen forests. To the south there are multiple ancient volcanic vents still visible as "hills." At the peak, there is a modern fire lookout.

Access: From Flagstaff, drive north on Highway 180 to Forest Road 245 (milepost 230) and turn left. At the end of that road, (about 3 miles) make a right on FR 171.
