Recently, I have observed that study abroad programs draw people of the same mind to the same location. Everyone has their reasons for being here at IAU, in Aix-en-Provence. And one of those reasons is always where they are from. Therefore, it is no surprise that the people who come to study here have similar personalities, and generally get along really well together because they want to be at the same geographic location for their study abroad experience.
Common interests, yes. Common place in the world, definitely. It's this geospatial detail that brings us together socially. One might find only 50 to 60 percent of their university's population interesting, but here, everyone is interesting. We all want france. We all learn french. This has been the most unique experience of my life.

I'm so glad you've been able to have the experience of studying abroad! It sounds truly amazing, I'm glad you kept a blog, its been fun reading tidbits here and there. I haven't tuned in as much as I would like(thank you school), but I have enjoyed what I've read and the pictures you've posted. See you soon, travel safe!
ReplyDeleteha, doesn't school always just get in the way? :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for reading Hannah. Thankfully, the end of study abroad doesn't mean the end of the Blog. there's always more travel to be had.
See you soon!
