Backcountry Camping in the Grand Escalante (Page) Area

Every time I travel through the Grand Escalante National Recreation Area, I am always looking for a place to camp for free. Somewhere off Highway 89 that's not too sketchy for my Nissan Sentra to drive to. Friends, I have found the perfect camping spot. It's about 2 miles past Page, AZ.
From Glen Canyon Visitor Center (Page, AZ), drive north on Hwy 89 for 0.5 mile. Take the first left onto a gravel road (accessible by most vehicles). Immediately in front of you is a "Road Closed" sign, however, follow the road that forks to the left. In about another .5 mile, this road heads west towards a cluster of sandstone spires. Park before the gravel road turns into sand. This is public land, so camping is both legal and free.
There's amazing wave geology all over this beautiful formation, overlooking Lake Powell.
