Bouldering in Vercors

It's an autumn wonderland in Grenoble right now- warm, rainy days and splashes of brown, yellow, orange, and red covering the foothills of Chartreuse and Vercors. And this weekend, within the forests of Vercors, a gentle breeze and a perfect silence broken only by the rustle of leaves. But also, a group of climbers bouldering les Trois Pucelles de Poussebou.
I discovered this amazing climbing site after joining a CouchSurfing.net group that goes on weekly climbing trips. We met in the city center and drove into Vercors. It was a short hike to the boulders, and it was all on a floor of fallen leaves.
We set up crash pads and went to work. There are over 200 routes on the boulders of Poussebou, with levels of difficulty ranging from green to black.
It was an amazing experience and a great way to get to know some local climbers.

Access: Saint Nizier. From Grenoble, drive or take Transisère line 5110 to Saint-Nizier-du-Moucherotte.
